KingFisher Biminis were dreamt up, designed, and engineered for the testing Australian conditions. The creators, Grant & Phil, have over 70 years of canvas experience between them and, as avid anglers, were frustrated with the traditional design of Bimini tops. Many of their customers also wanted a Bimini that would provide unrestricted access around the boat, but not have to install a custom made, and very expensive, permanent structure on their boat.

Equipped with the know-how, they embarked on a journey to create the ultimate Bimini. The goal was to create a cover where you would have all the advantages of being out of the dangerous, damaging and hot rays of the sun, but minus all of the drawbacks of multiple straps, ropes or stays that get in your way and cause frustration. The Bimini had to be easy to set up and stow away and could be used across multiple water activities, from fishing and crabbing to cruising and skiing. It wasn’t an easy process but after years of prototypes, tests and trials the core of the KingFisher was borne with the unique and patented A frames at the centre of its design. The frame allows for a 360° unobstructed view and access around the boat, is strong enough to handle the conditions and able to be stored quickly and easily with a minimum of fuss.
